The Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission voted to expand their black bear season. The changes now must pass through the legislative process and be signed by the governor.
The commission approved a proposal to expand the state’s black bear season to allow hunters more time to hunt. The archery season for bear now will run October 1 through the third Sunday in October with no quota. A muzzleloader season with a quota of 20 bears will run concurrent with the deer muzzleloader season.
