Brown Bear Killed In Residential Area Of Japan

In a residential neighborhood in Sapporo, Japan police found and killed a brown bear Friday morning after it was seen in various parts of the neighborhood during week.
Police stated that the brown bear was first seen on Thursday afternoon in Minami Ward. A resident reported the bear in his yard but it was gone when police arrived. Later that same day, it was spotted in another location. On Friday, police were mobilized to find the bear when it spotted in Moiwashita were it was shot.
Last October, there was a number of bear sightings in multiple Sapporo locations including near a hospital, school and park.
