Canadian Guilty Of Importing Illegal Bear Hides

A Saskatchewan man was fined $4,900 for importing, without a license, both a black bear and grizzly bear hide and skull from the Yukon part of Canada.
He was convicted on two counts under The Saskatchewan Wildlife Act for unlawfully importing a black bear and a grizzly bear and both hides have been forfeited to the Crown. The man was also given a one-year hunting suspension as part of the conviction.
