A two-month old infant died as a result of a car accident on Interstate 95 that started with a collision between a vehicle and a bear. The baby was in a child restraint seat, properly restrained, and sitting in a stopped vehicle when a commercial truck crashed into five stopped passenger vehicles.

The car carrying the two-month old was stopped due to the fact moments earlier, a car had collided with a 500-pound black bear on the Interstate, and a second collision had followed the first. The commercial truck driver is now charged with driving while intoxicated and felony injury.
