PA Man Charged With Illegal Bear KillPA Game Commission/State Police, Bear Hunting Magazine
A 26 year-old Wayne County, Pennsylvania man was charged with illegally killing a black bear in Berlin Township. He will face a maximum $3,000 fine and six months in prison if convicted.
Wildlife officers had been investigating the death of a 550-pound bear since Wednesday when the animal was reported as road kill along Branning Road but was found having been shot.
The 26 year-old charged with the illegal kill lives on the same road and allegedly shot the bear with a small caliber gun.
