Bear Hunter Rights Coalition Meeting

US Sportsmen's Alliance, Bear Hunting Magazine

Unyielding attacks on the sport have led bear hunting organizations to fight back! Bear hunting organizations from across the country and the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance established a permanent bear hunting protection group - the Bear Hunter Rights Coalition. Bear hunters who do not already belong are encouraged to join the coalition and protect bear hunting from the seemingly endless attacks of the anti-hunters.

Bear Hunting Leaders to Meet, Fortify Defense

The USSA will host an annual meeting to allow bear hunting organizations to lend input and support to the USSA coalition established to provide permanent protection for their sport. Bear hunters from across the country will send representatives to the Bear Hunter Rights Coalition (BHRC) National Meeting on June 22-23 at the USSA National Headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. The meeting will open Friday with an evening reception for members and prospective associates. The business meeting will be held Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The USSA will report on legislative campaigns and litigation in which the BHRC is involved to protect bear hunting. Members will evaluate recent campaigns, propose innovative ideas for gaining additional support, and prepare for future anti-hunting assaults. Bear hunters have become a prime target for the anti's. The BHRC has stopped efforts to ban bear hunting at the state and federal levels, but it must have the ideas and support of bear hunters across the country to maintain a successful record. Contact the USSA at (614) 888-4868 or to register. Attendees will be responsible for travel and hotel arrangements.
