Wildlife officials have trapped and relocated a grizzly bear that broke into a chicken coop in the South Fork Shoshone River valley.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says the adult male bear was moved to the Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone River drainage in the Shoshone National Forest.
The department released the bear within currently occupied grizzly bear habitat and the Grizzly Bear Primary Conservation Area. The bear had been a frequent visitor to a populated area in the otherwise remote South Fork Shoshone River valley.
The department says residents can help prevent bear conflicts by making items attractive to bears unavailable. That includes food, horse feeds and bird seed.
