SC Man Charged With Illegal Bear Kill

A South Carolina man was arrested and charged with killing a bear near the South Carolina coast in Horry County. Bear hunting is not legal in this county at any time.
Many media reports show that the 22-year-old man from Green Sea, South Carolina was accused of shooting the female bear with a semi-automatic rifle Sunday afternoon, December 27, 2009. The man is charged with illegal taking of bears and bear parts and using bait to lure bear. He was released after posting $1,500 bail Tuesday.
