A bear created havoc in northern Kashmir injuring more than ten people. Kashmir is located to the north of India.

The bear entered the village of Watapora, Bandipora, from a nearby forest and before the villagers could do anything it started attacking people before the animal went back into the forest.

The injured were admitted to district hospital, where two were critically wounded and referred to Srinagar hospital.

The wildlife department has already forwarded a plan to help avoid the man-animal conflict in the Kashmir valley, where more than 35 people were killed and over 350 others were wounded in the attacks by wild animals (including bears and leopards) during the past two years.
