A man from Ackley, Iowa was fined $970 for bear hunting-related offenses. He pled guilty on September 14th to making a false statement on an Ontario Resident Outdoors Card application and was fined $485 along with an additional $485 for hunting black bear without a valid licence.
In August 2010, the Iowa man provided false information to apply for an Ontario Resident Outdoors Card. He then used the card to obtain a resident black bear hunting license and went bear hunting in Ontario during the 2010 black bear hunting season.
