Glacier National Park officials released a statement stating that wildlife authorities captured and killed a black bear near the park after it broke into vehicles, raided trash and tried to get into a home for food earlier this week.
The six year-old female bruin broke windows and pulled the door handles off at least four cars and trucks to get into them. Wildlife officials concluded it was a conditioned bear and a potential threat to humans. Records show that the same bear was was tagged and released back in 2008 after it was caught wandering around downtown Kalispell, Montana.
